Here is the 2017 Mitsubishi Triton GLS Sports
Edition. The newly-added model is based upon the GLS dual-cab variant, but the
Sports Edition model aims to “deliver a smart but tough on-and-off-roader”.
Mitsubishi hasn’t just added black bits, it gets a
black grille, black sports bar, black 17-inch alloy wheels, a black rear step
bumper, a black powder coated nudge-bar – there’s also a rear diff lock, which,
is usually exclusive to the Exceed flagship.
The Triton GLS Sports Edition also scores genuine
accessories including a standard-fit tub-liner, soft tonneau cover, tow-bar,
tinted bonnet protector, and carpet mats. There’s a further Extreme accessory
pack with snorkel, a colour-coded hard tonneau cover, along with Venom driving
lights and harness.
There’s a unique colour for the GLS Sports Edition,
Starlight, in addition to Titanium grey and black. It’s available to buy now,
and compared with the standard GLS, the pricing is around AUD 4500 higher (the GLS
manual is AUD 41,500 plus on-roads, and AUD 44,000 for the auto).
