The facelifted 2018 Honda City has been
revealed, starting at AUD 15,990
plus on-road costs. Looking very similar to the Indian-market model revealed a
fortnight ago, the revised City gets a new face, an updated infotainment system
and extra equipment.
Up front the City gets a new grille, updated
headlights with incorporated LED daytime-running lights, and a revised front
bumper treatment. New alloy wheel designs fill the arches, while a new rear
bumper completes the refreshed look.
Inside, all models get a new 7.0-inch touchscreen
infotainment system, along with new trims on the instrument panel, air vents
and gearshift. For the top-spec VTi-L, the infotainment unit is upgraded with
satellite navigation, while the flagship grade also gets leather-appointed
seats as standard.
Cosmic Blue metallic is a new colour choice for the
2018 model-year, though Brilliant Sport Blue metallic and Crystal Black
pearlescent have been discontinued.
In terms of pricing, the entry-level VTi is
unchanged at AUD 15,990 for the five-speed manual and AUD 17,990 for the
continuously-variable transmission (CVT), both before on-road costs. Meanwhile,
the top-spec VTi-L sees a small increase of AUD 200 to AUD 21,590 before on-roads,
though Honda says this is offset by more than AUD 2000 in additional standard
equipment. The updated 2018 Honda City range will arrive in
local showrooms in April.
