The Toyota Corolla 2018 is having the XRS sporty version. The restyled sedan will be
marketed in the GLi 1.8 flex, XLi 2.0 flex, XRS 2.0 flex and Altis 2.0 flex
versions. The XRS version have the sporty appearance and will be
equipped with 2.0 engine and the automatic CVT. Among the visual differences
are a small airfoil on the trunk lid, front and rear bumper appliques, side
skirts and diamond wheels.
The GLi Upper version is the only one that will be
equipped with the 1.8-liter engine that delivers 144 hp and torque of 18.6 kgfm.
The exchange will be the automatic CVT type that simulates seven speeds. The
XEi, XRS and Altis versions have a 2.0 engine that produces 153 hp of power and
torque of 20.7 kgfm.
Leading the segment, the restyled Corolla will gain
new front and rear touches in the rear following the European standard. At the
front, the headlamps keep practically the same shape, but narrower. The set
will gain LED lights in conjunction with single projector. The front grille is
also thinner and makes up with the headlights. The shock absorbers have more
aggressive lines, especially the auxiliary lights.
The rear flashlights are in the same format, but
gain new lighting arrangements that will be illuminated by LEDs. The rear
bumper is pretty much the same as it is today.
