Ford Motor is exploring new markets for the compact sedan. Spy shots posted by
Trlux on Instagram shows that the company has started testing the Ford Ka+
Sedan in Turkey. Except for Brazil and its neighbours,
the Ka twin’s export base is Ford India’s plant in Sanand, Gujarat.
The Ford Ka+ Sedan, first introduced in Brazil, is
sold as the Ford Aspire in India and as Ford Figo Sedan in other markets. In
India, it has a sub-4 metre body for lower taxes, while in the international
markets, a 4.3 metre-long body offers more boot space and proportions of a
proper sedan.
The Ford Ka+ Sedan (Ford Aspire) is offered with the
1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that produces 87 hp and 112 Nm of
torque, the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that develops 110 hp and 136 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine good for 99 hp and 215 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual
and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
In Turkey, Ford does not offer the Ford Ka+ (Ford
Figo Hatchback). The Ford Fiesta is the smallest model offered, which will make
the Ka+ the entry-level vehicle.
