The all-new LDV T60 ute has been confirmed for an
October launch in Australia, and is expected by the Chinese company to become
its top-selling model locally.
Tthe T60 will offer a range of variants,
including 4×4 dual cabs, along with 2WD and 4×4 cab chassis bodies. Manual and
automatic transmissions will be available, in a mix of two trim and equipment
levels.
Measuring 5.3 m long and 1.9 m wide, LDV says the T60
sits smack-bang in the middle of the segment for size, though the company plans
to be at the forefront for value in the class when it comes to equipment,
features and pricing.
Under the bonnet is a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine
producing 149 Hp of power, though torque and fuel consumption figures are yet to
be detailed. Pricing is still yet to be announced but it will
be very competitive and offer high levels of specification.
When it launches in October, the T60 will join the
LDV G10 and V80 vans, which start at AUD 25,990 and AUD 30,490 drive-away
respectively.
