Even though we’ve already seen the 2017 Volkswagen
Polo in its entirety thanks to previous spyshots, the German carmaker is
continuing its promotional campaign for the compact, which will debut in its
sixth generation in the summer.
Anyway, the new Polo will be underpinned by the MQB
A0 platform that made its debut on the new Seat Ibiza. Expect a familiar range
of TSI and TDI engines to be offered as well.
The new car will also offer more interior space than
its predecessor, with a 94 mm increase in wheelbase length – from 2,470 mm to
2,564 mm. On the outside, the new Polo will measure 4,053mm long and 1,751mm
wide, making it 81 mm longer and 69 mm wider than before.
