Subaru announced the pricing of the new 2018
Crosstrek. The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will be offered in three trim
levels: 2.0i Base, Premium and Limited, when it arrives at dealerships
nationwide late this summer.
Prices kick off at US$ 21,795, only US$ 100 more over the
previous model, while for the first time Subaru will offer the Lineartronic CVT
option on the 2.0i Base models.
All models will come with a six-speed manual or the
aforementioned CVT, as well as Subaru’s trademark Symmetrical all-wheel drive
system. When fitted with the manual, the new Crosstrek is able to return a fuel
economy of 23 city/29 highway and 25 combined mpg, with the CVT models being
slightly more fuel efficient at 27 city/33 highway and 29 combined mpg.
The new Subaru Crosstrek also benefits from a
8.7-inch ground clearance, allowing it to be more versatile in both off-road
and city driving conditions. Under the bonnet lies a revised 2.0-litre boxer
engine with direct injection and 152 hp.
Entry-level models get a 6.5-inch Starlink
infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 60/40-split fold-down
rear seat and more. Premium models add Subaru’s Connected Services, heated
front seats, windshield wiper de-icer, and heated exterior mirrors as well as
on/off automatic headlights linked to windshield wiper operation, a sound insulated
windshield and Welcome Lighting and more.
Moving up to the range-topping Limited models,
customers will get a standard CVT, an 8.0-inch Multimedia Plus system, a set of
18-inch machine finished alloy wheels, Keyless Access with Push-Button Start
and Pin Code Access, 6-way Power Driver’s seat and new Steering Responsive
Headlights which can illuminate curves as the vehicle steers into them. Blind
Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also
standard, among other.
Subaru offers the Eyesight pack as an option and
that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Lane
Departure and Sway Warning.
