Yamaha USA has unveiled the 2018 Yamaha Star Venture. Yamaha aims to
redefine the luxury touring market and borrows design cues from American muscle
cars.
Powering the Yamaha Star Venture is an 1,854 cc
air-cooled, V-twin mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of
producing 165 Nm of peak torque. The 5th and the 6th cog are overdrive for
highway cruising. The bike also gets a Park Assist System with electric forward
and reverse.
Other features in the Yamaha Star Venture include a
7-inch coloured LCD instrumentation, cruise control, riding modes, traction
control, ride by wire, tyre pressure monitor, heated seats with an adjustable
heated rider backrest, heated passenger backrest, heated grips, electric
windscreen, cowl deflectors and vents, and adjustable handlebars & levers.
Optional features (Transcontinental version) include
GPS navigation, satellite radio, LED fog lamps, dual-zone audio and passenger
storage compartments and even an alarm. The fuel tank of the Yamaha Star
Venture can store 24.98-litre of petrol and the ground clearance stands at
139.7 mm. The headlamps, taillamp and indicators use LEDs.
Colour options include Granite Grey and Raspberry
Metallic. Deliveries of the 2018 Yamaha Star Venture will begin in September
2017. The standard version of the 2018 Yamaha Star
Venture is priced at US$ 24,999 and US$ 26,000 for the optional
Transcontinental version.
