The Suzuki Alivio, sold as the Maruti Ciaz in India, is manufactured and sold in China by the Changan-Suzuki joint venture. It is called the ‘Suzuki Qiyue’ in Chinese.

The Alivio measures 4545 mm in length, 1730 mm in width and 1475 mm height, is at least 40 mm longer (due to the different bumpers) and sits 10 mm lower than the Ciaz. The wheelbase is identical at 2,650 mm.


The Suzuki Alivio is powered by the 1.6-litre G-INNOTEC VVT petrol engine that produces 121 hp and 158 Nm of torque. Three grades are available, with the top-end available exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The entry-level and mid-level grades get a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission.

Noteworthy features of the Suzuki Alivio include automatic headlights, electric folding exterior mirrors with heating function, electric sunroof, keyless entry system, push-button engine start system, rear centre armrest with cup holders, independent rear seat reading lights, 6-speaker sound system, touchscreen display for the infotainment system and GPS Telematics.
