A couple of years ago, there was a lot of talk about
the so-called Q1, a new, entry-level crossover designed to take the German
manufacturer where it had never been before.
For unknown reasons, Audi eventually changed its
name to the Q2, but still retains the trademark to Q1. It’s possible, but nothing of the sort
has been mentioned by Audi.
This rendering by Behance artist Florian Westermann
shows how he envisions the Q1 and he has penned it with single, modern dads in
mind. Audi may never create a vehicle targeted towards such a specific
demographic, but the concept is quite cool.
For starters, the crossover is a simple two-door and
adopts a low roof and steeply-raked rear window to give it a Shooting Brake
feel. Elsewhere, there is a sharp grille inspired by Audi’s single-frame grille
and paired with eye-catching air intakes, slim LED headlights and a number of yellow
accents.
With demand for crossovers and SUVs showing no signs
of slowing down, it might not be a bad idea for Audi to go down this route.
