Brochure scans of the new Hyundai Verna have surfaced online courtesy Team BHP. The leaked information details the variant wise features list along with specifications of the 2017 Hyundai Verna. Hyundai will offer the new Verna in four trims – E, EX, SX, and SX(O). The E Trim gets only basic features like manual air conditioning, central locking, and all four power windows.

The EX trim adds features like reverse parking sensors and camera, auto headlamps, keyless entry, alloy wheels (automatic variants only), height adjustable seats, 5-inch touchscreen audio with Bluetooth connectivity and auto aircon.


Projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link and electric folding ORVMs are available in the SX trim. Additionally, features like 6 airbags, Smart Key, leather upholstery, Auto Link (connected car technology), ventilated seats, and electric sunroof are exclusive to the range topping SX(O) trim. While Hyundai is not offering the Verna 1.6 diesel auto in the SX(O) trim, the diesel auto in SX+ trim gets an electric sunroof. Dual front airbags and ABS are standard on all trims.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna is 4,440 mm long, 1,729 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall and rides on a 2,600 mm wheelbase. Only the front gets disc brakes, while the rear wheels make do with drums. E and EX trims get 185/65 R15 steel wheels, EX AT trims get 185/65 R15 alloy wheels and the SX and SX(O) trims get 195/55 R16 alloy wheels. The spare is a 15-inch steel wheel across variants.


The 1.6 L Gamma petrol engine displaces 1,591 cc with power and torque ratings of 123 PS and 15.4 kgm respectively. The 1.6 L U2 CRDi diesel with a displacement of 1,582 cc makes 128 PS and 26.5 kgm. Both engines can be had with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.

Seven colour options on offer – Phantom Black, Sleek Silver, Stardust, Fiery Red, Flame Orange, Polar White and Siena Brown. The last four are new additions to the Verna’s colour palette. The 2017 Hyundai Verna launch will take place on August 22 and bookings for the car can be made online or through Hyundai dealerships across the country.
