Toyota has a new/special edition models
lined up for the GIIAS 2017 that opens tomorrow. One of them is likely the
Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo, seen in these photographs originally published by
Autonetmagz.
The Indonesian-spec Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo
differs from the Thai-spec Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo and the Middle-East
spec Fortuner TRD. Its kit is fashioned uniquely and lacks the two-tone colour
scheme. It sports large, grey front fog lamp enclosures, silver skid plates,
TRD branding on the front bumper and the sides, new alloy wheels and “TRD
Sportivo” emblem on the back door. The Indonesian-spec Fortuner currently
doesn’t have disc brakes at the rear, but will receive them in an update. The
TRD Sportivo variant has them.
The Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo’s specifications
aren’t out yet. However, as per the local publication, it is based on the
top-spec VRZ grade of the standard SUV powered by the 2.4-litre VNT diesel
engine that develops 149 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The regular
Fortuner VRZ has a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard and is offered in
4×2 and 4×4 models.
The Indonesian-spec Fortuner TRD Sportivo should
have features like bi-beam LED headlamps, power tailgate with memory function,
leather seats, 4.2-inch colour MID, rear auto AC, navigation and rear seat
entertainment system among others.
