Renault has launched the Renault Kaptur EXTREME in
Russia. The limited edition of the India-bound Renault Kaptur (Renault Captur)
features enhanced styling and additional equipment.
The Renault Kaptur EXTREME introduces a new paint scheme
to the SUV, with Ivory as the base colour, and the roof in brown. 17-inch
Steppe alloy wheels in silver-brown two-tone finish complement the exclusive
paint finish. Chrome decor on the door panels and the ‘EXTREME’ badge on the
fenders further differentiate the special. In the model-exclusive paint scheme,
the ORVMs are in brown to match the roof. The EXTREME edition brings LED Pure
Vision full-LED headlamps with dynamic turn signals to the Duster-based
crossover.
On the inside, the Renault Kaptur EXTREME features
‘EXTREME’ scuff plates, brown leather seats with black inserts, leather
armrests with beige stitching, brown air vent surrounds, IRVM with automatic
dimming and leather steering wheel with beige stitching and ‘EXTREME’ logo.
The Renault Kaptur EXTREME is available in three
configurations. The base configuration is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine
(114 PS/156 Nm) and has the X-Tronic CVT sending power to the front wheels. The
other two configurations are 4×4, powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine (143
PS/195 Nm). The mid-tier configuration has a 6-speed manual transmission, while
the top-spec configuration is fitted with a 4-speed automatic.
The Kaptur EXTREME’s bookings have commenced at all
dealerships in Russia. Deliveries begin in September. Renault India will
announce the Captur/Kaptur during the festival season as a direct competitor to
the Hyundai Creta.
