The patent design of TVS’ upcoming flagship faired motorcycle, the Apache RR 310S, has been leaked on to the web. The image of the patent design conforms to the design language of the test mules seen so far. The bike gets a large fairing with angular twin lights at the front. It also takes on a large windshield to enhance the aerodynamics and reduce rider fatigue due to wind blasts. The sides of the fairing near the monoshock region sport a triangular crease, which can be found in the camouflaged bike as well. We are expecting TVS to introduce the bike before October.

The RR 310S is based on BMW Motorrad’s entry level naked motorcycle, the G310R, which is manufactured and exported worldwide by TVS Motor from the Hosur plant. It is powered by a 313 cc single cylinder, DOHC mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel injected engine is capable of producing 34 hp of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The same engine will be used in the Apache RR 310S but expect the power delivery to be tuned differently to suit the character of this motorcycle.

The TVS Apache RR 310S gets upside down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The bike gets the same alloy wheels like those in the G310R. Michelin tyres wrap the alloys, and the bike uses petal disc brakes on both ends. Expect ABS as an option. The bike should be priced below INR 2 lakhs, ex-showroom.
