A plethora of safety technologies and other features
have been added to the 2018 Jeep Cherokee. For 2018, the Cherokee range starts
out with the base Latitude trim, complete with 17-inch wheels, fog lamps, HID
headlights, a reverse camera, body-color mirrors, door handles and roof rails.
New to the Cherokee range is the Latitude Plus trim.
Based on the standard Latitude, it also includes an 8.4" Uconnect radio
and touchscreen, SiriusXM Radio, Passive Entry/Keyless Go, cloth seats with
leather inserts, leather steering wheel, 8-way power driver seat, ambient
lighting, custom 17" wheels and an AC outlet for the center console.
It's the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and
Limited models that have received the most important updates - such as
blind-spot monitoring, Cross Path Detection and ParkSense Rear Backup Warning.
All up, the 2018 Cherokee range consists of the
Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland and Trailhawk. Both the Latitude and
Limited can be optioned with the Altitude Black-Out Appearance Package.
Two powertrains are on offer, a 2.4-liter
inline-four and a 3.2-liter V6. Both can be joined by an all-wheel drive system
and are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The V6 also has
start-stop technology.
