New to the McLaren 570S are multiple exterior bits
made from carbon fiber, courtesy of tuner DMC, meant to further emphasize the
supercar's aggressive styling. At the front of the 570S, DMC will install a new
front bumper and lip, while moving to the side will reveal the new carbon fiber
side skirts, side vents, ducts and window frames.
Out back, you've got the rear diffuser,
re-engineered engine bonnet, plus of course the massive wing that blends in
with the carbon fiber rear fascia. All of these new parts are made from 100%
carbon fiber with forged aluminum legs. DMC states that no drilling is needed
and that all mods are non-intrusive. Also, the engine bonnet is still
accessible despite the wing, which sits on the hood and moves up or down with
it.
Any exterior mods aside, the McLaren 570S remains
one of the fastest cars in the world, despite the fact it's nowhere near the
top of McLaren's food chain in terms of performance. Its 3.8-liter twin turbo
V8 engine puts down 570 PS and 600 Nm of torque with the
help of a 7-speed SSG transmission. From a standstill, it will hit 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and 200 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Its top speed is
rated at 328 km/h.
