DSK Benelli has launched the Benelli TNT 300 ABS in
India at an ex-showroom pan-India price of INR 3.29 lakhs. Dealers have started
accepting the bookings for the bike, at a token amount of INR 30,000.
The Benelli TNT 300 ABS replaces the non-ABS
version, and the delivery time for the bike is 10-15 days. It is INR 26,000
more expensive than the now discontinued non-ABS variant. The bike comes with
dual channel, switchable ABS. It is DSK Benelli’s third ABS offering in the
country after the TNT 600i and the 302R. The latter was launched last month.
Powering this motorcycle is a 300cc in-line
two-cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant
produces 38.2 PS of power at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm.
The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle features a 16-litre fuel tank and
tips the scales at 196 kg, kerb. Inverted front forks and a rear off-set
monoshock hold the trellis frame. Brakes include twin petal discs at the front
and a single disc at the rear with ABS. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with
120-section at the front and 160-section tyre at the rear.
This financial year DSK Benelli plans to launch
three new motorcycles. One of them will be a KTM 390 Duke rival. The TNT 300
ABS also rivals the KTM 390 Duke, but twin cylinder Italian is INR 1.02 lakhs
more expensive. The TNT 300 ABS is available in four colours: Verde (green),
Bianco (white), Rosso (red), and Nero (black).
