Official photos of the Buick GL6 for China. The GL6
is a new mid-size MPV. It is based on the #Opel Zafira, and likely the very
last Opel-based Buick.
The Buick GL6 will be launched on the Chinese car
market in November. Price will start around US$ 25,000. Power will come from a new
1.3 turbo with 156 hp, mated to a six-speed #automatic.
The exterior looks nice albeit a bit busy on the
sides with with a crease-overload. GM hasn't released images of the interior
yet.
The GL6 is made locally at Shanghai-GM, a joint
venture with a very good sense for the market. The GL6 arrives just as the MPV
segment is starting to boom, stealing sales from sedans and even SUVs.
