Images of Ford Figo dua tone have been shared by
MotorBeam pointing towards the possible introduction of a new cosmetic package.
The car in question bears the name of the dealership. This indicates that the
Ford Figo dual tone could very well be a dealer level offering.
This particular unit sports an Oxford White exterior
along with a black dual tone finish for the roof and spoiler. There also a
chrome strip running across the bootlid, which isn’t part of the standard kit
otherwise. It also appears to have a shark fin antenna, which too is not a part
of the standard kit.
A dual tone paint job is not new to the Ford Figo.
The S variants come with a similar paint scheme, but they do not feature a
black finish spoiler. According to MotorBeam, a few Ford dealers claimed that
the Titanium+ variant was discontinued as Microsoft was in the process of
updating the SYNC AppLink. If that is the case, then Ford may be reintroducing
the Titanium+ variant and the dual tone paint job could be part of the reboot.
Ford currently offers the Figo with three engine
choices including a 73.8 kW 1.5 L TDCi diesel, a 64.7 kW 1.2 L Ti-VCT petrol,
and an 82.3 kW 1.5 L Ti-VCT petrol. Both the 1.5 L diesel and 1.2 L petrol get
a 5-speed manual gearbox as the sole transmission option. A 6-speed DCT is also
offered, but it is exclusive to the 1.5 L petrol variant.
In 2018, Ford will launch the Ford Figo facelift
along with a new Cross variant. These models have been spotted testing in India
are expected to bring with them an updated exterior along with new features.
