The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Stealth Black has
started arriving at dealerships. Here are the detailed pictures of the
motorcycle, which was launched this month; courtesy Royal Enfield Bullet Club.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Stealth Black variant
borrows the swingarm from the Royal Enfield Thunderbird. The bike features a
240 mm rear disc with a single calliper as well. There are no changes to the
front brake, as it uses the same 280 mm disc with two-piston calliper. The bike
does not have ABS.
The motorcycle features matte black finish on the
frame, fuel tank, fenders and side boxes. The matte black exhaust and bend pipe
get heat-resistant coating. The spoke wheel rims and hubs come with black
powder coating. The single piece seat is draped in black leather with black
stitching. Similar to the Thunderbird, the Classic 500 Stealth Black also
features engine casing in matte black colour.
Mechanically, the bike continues with the 499 cc
single cylinder engine with fuel injection. The powerplant punches out 27.2 bhp
of power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine works in
tandem with a 5-speed transmission. Suspension bits include 35 mm telescopic
forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The front
wheel is 19-inch, while the rear is an 18-inch unit. A 90-section front and
120-section rear tyre wrap the spoke wheels.
