Ducati India has launched its sport-touring
offerings, the Ducati SuperSport and the SuperSport S in India; with prices
starting from INR 12,08,000 (ex-showroom India) for the SuperSport. The
ex-showroom, India cost of the upmarket variant Ducati SuperSport S is INR
13,39,000.
The Ducati SuperSport shares its powerplant with the
Multistrada 950 and the Hypermotard 939. The 937cc L-twin Desmodromic motor
with liquid cooling churns out 113 PS of power at 9,000 rpm. The maximum torque
figure stands at 96.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine transmits power via a 6-speed
gearbox with slipper clutch.
The electronics on the SuperSport include Sport,
Touring and Urban Riding Modes via Ride-by-Wire. Ducati Safety Pack (DSP),
which includes dual channel Bosch 9MP ABS and Ducati Traction Control, enhances
the bike’s performance and optimises control even on surfaces that offer less
grip. The SuperSport S version comes with a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension
(front and rear), the Ducati Quick Shift up/down system, and a rear seat cover.
The Ducati Quick Shift and the rear seat cover are also available as
accessories for the SuperSport version.
The Ducati SuperSport employs 43 mm fully adjustable
Marzocchi front forks and an adjustable Sachs monoshock. The two motorcycles
use dual 320 mm front discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc callipers at
the front. The rear features a 245 mm disc with two-piston callipers. ABS is
standard on both the bikes.
Deliveries for the Ducati SuperSport &
SuperSport S have started across all seven Ducati dealerships in India
including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kochi & Kolkata. A
range of matching apparels and accessories are available as well.
