Yamaha India has introduced a new colour variant called the ‘Dark Night’ for the Yamaha FZ-S FI, Yamaha Saluto RX, and Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR (disc brake variant).

The new colour variants cost INR 1,000 more than the standard model. The Dark Night variant of the FZ-S FI is priced at INR 84,012; the Saluto RX at INR 48,721; the Cygnus Ray ZR Disc at INR 56,898, all ex-showroom, Delhi. The new colour variants get matte black and chrome finish. With the new colour variants, Yamaha hopes to increase customer interest in its products this festive season.

Mechanically, the two-wheelers are identical to their standard counterparts. The FZ-S FI continues with its 149cc SOHC 2-valve mill, generating 13.2 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit.

The commuter, Yamaha Saluto RX draws power from a 110cc SOHC engine that’s good for 7.5 PS of power at 7,000 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine pairs with a 4-speed transmission. The Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR uses a 113cc SOHC engine with a CVT gearbox. The mill puts out 7.2 PS of power at 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.

The recently launched Yamaha Fazer 25, and the Yamaha FZ25 have not received this colour option.
