Honda has released a YouTube video teasing their
latest product, the Honda Neo Sports Cafe. The company is developing the bike
under ‘Project N.S.C’. The bike will make its global debut on November 6th,
a day before the 2017 EICMA held from November 7th to 12th in Milan, Italy.
While the teaser shows little details about the bike, it is certain that it
will have classic design lines with modern underpinnings. The silhouette
suggests modern classic proportions with a chiselled fuel tank that ends with a
single piece seat. Judging by the position of the handlebars and the seat, the
riding position should be comfortable and not too aggressive.
The tail is short and stubby, and underneath the
tail, the rear tyre hugger with licence plate holder is present. Expect
indicators to flank the number plate. Speaking about the indicators, the units
are LED. So is the circular headlight, which also comes with a semi-circular
DRL. The instrument cluster design incorporates a mixture of circular and
rectangular design elements. Going by the shape, it is likely that the bike
will get an analogue-digital combo cluster. The teaser also shows the front
brake, which appears to feature dual discs with radial callipers.
Honda has not revealed the mechanical underpinnings
of the motorcycle. It is possible that the bike is a café racer iteration of
the Honda CB1000R. Expect more details of the upcoming motorcycle at the show.
