Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Maruti S-Cross
in India last week. In the latest, spy shots posted by AutonetMagz show that
the company has exported the new S-Cross to Indonesia.
In Indonesia, the Suzuki S-Cross is sold as Suzuki
SX4 S-Cross. It was launched in August 2016. The Indonesian market’s first
crossover is powered by the M15A 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine that produces 109
PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. 5-speed manual and 6-speed
automatic are the transmission choices.
The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross will
feature a more aggressive front-end with reshaped, LED projector headlamps, new
upper grille with vertical chrome bars and chrome border, bigger air dam
grille, restyled bumper with new faux skid plate and resculpted hood. On the
sides, the new model should have a fresh set of 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped
with wider tyres (215/60 R16). At the rear, the tail lamps will have LED
lighting and new graphics for a fresh look. Inside, most changes may revolve
around refreshing the trim and upholstery of the crossover. Suzuki may fit the
new touchscreen infotainment system, called ‘Smartplay’ in India, with
navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Indonesian launch of the S-Cross facelift could
take place later this year.
