In order for the world's first road legal automobile with a Formula 1 powertrain to be even more like an F1 car, one would assume the roof would need to come down, right? After all, it's not like F1 drivers race with anything hanging over their heads not yet anyway. So, if you like the way the Project One looks with a roof, you're bound to love it as a Spyder, we reckon.

These renderings come courtesy of E Milano, and show the Project One resting peacefully in somebody's driveway, as well as waiting its turn to hop on a race track and tear it a new one, so to speak.

We can only imagine what it would sound like to drive this car with no roof, listening to its 1,000 HP powertrain putting in the work. By the way, the engine is a modified version of the hybrid system found in Mercedes-AMG Petronas' W08 F1 car - the one Lewis Hamilton is racing around in this season.

As a Spyder, or Roadster, or whatever you want to call it, the Project One could compete even better with some of the world's open-top hypercars, like the 918 Spyder or the LaFerrari Aperta.
