Mercedes-Benz launched the 2017 Mercedes CLA in
India last December and then the 2017 Mercedes GLA in July. Today, the company
launched the facelifted compact models’ AMG 45 4MATIC high-performance variants
in the country.
The 2017 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC and 2017
Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC sport the same 2.0-litre petrol engine. Their
turbocharged four-cylinder mill puts out 381 PS at 6,000 rpm and 475 Nm of
torque from 2,500-5,000 rpm. Both send power to the wheels via the AMG
Speedshift DCT 7-speed automatic transmission. The 4MATIC permanent AWD system
is standard. The CLA 45 4MATIC accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds,
while the GLA 45 4MATIC performs the same speed run in 4.5 seconds. Both cars’
top out at 250 km/h.
LED headlamps, front apron with new A-wing design,
matt titanium gray front splitter insert, AMG radiator grille with twin
louvres, AMG spoiler lip, 18-inch AMG 10-spoke alloy wheels, rear apron with
diffuser, AMG radiator lip, AMG instrument cluster with new-look numerals and
AMG design trim in black/red are some of the key features of the new
Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45.

Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC are available in an AERO edition model also, with
yellow decals and AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey combined with the
AMG Night Package. The special edition CLA 45 and GLA 45 have yellow highlights
along the side panels, diffuser and rear bumper, as well as the ORVM housings.
