A 110 cc variant of Hero MotoCorp’s commuter
motorcycle, the Hero Passion pro will be launched on December 18, reports
Gaadiwaadi.
The website reports that the upcoming motorcycle
will employ Hero’s indigenously developed TOD (Torque On Demand) engine with
i3S technology. In the Splendor iSmart 110, the single cylinder OHC mill makes
9.5 Ps of power at 7,500 rpm, and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
Currently, The Hero Passion Pro has a 97.2 cc single
cylinder OHC engine. It is capable of generating 8.36 Ps of power at 8,000 rpm,
and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. It was reported in July that an all-new
Hero Passion may be launched this year. At present, the Passion Pro is the only
bike under the Passion product family. According to the media site, the new
motorcycle will come under Passion XPro product family, thereby reviving the
sub-brand.
Expect the same cycle parts as the current
generation Passion in the new motorcycle. The bike employs telescopic front
forks; and 5-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers. Brakes include 130 mm
drum on both ends, with a 240 mm front disc as an option. At present, the price
of the Hero Passion Pro starts at INR 51,446 for the spoke wheel with drum
brake variant. Expect the price of the 110cc version to go up by INR
5,000-6,000.
