Hyundai has started testing the 2018 Hyundai Creta in India, a spy photo posted by Team-BHP forum member veeru27 has revealed. The facelifted Hyundai Creta was revealed for Brazil in November last year.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta’s spy shot doesn’t reveal much because of the heavy camouflage. The tweaked tail lamps of the new model are visible through the cuts, though. The SUV’s rear bumper too should have a new styling. At the front, changes should include a bigger hexagonal grille, revised central air intake grille, reshaped fog lamp housing and restyled bumper. The only change expected on the sides is new alloy wheels.

Inside, the Hyundai Creta may not change extensively with the mid-cycle refresh. Most changes should revolve around the trim, upholstery and illumination of the interior elements. Hyundai upgraded the infotainment system just earlier this year, so that may stay as it is. One can expect equipment revisions across the range.

The Hyundai Creta is available with 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol and 1.6-litre U2 VGT CRDi diesel engines. These options should remain unchanged in the facelifted Hyundai Creta, and so should the transmission choices – 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The 2018 Hyundai Creta’s launch will take place towards H2 2018.
