The 2018 Hyundai Creta made its spy photo debut in
India last week. As Hyundai continues testing the new model, a test mule has
appeared in spy shots yet again, courtesy Team-BHP.
The new spy shots show the 2018 Hyundai Creta’s front-end
and profile. As expected, the facelifted Hyundai Creta incorporates a new
hexagonal radiator grille bigger in size and a restyled front bumper. The front
fog lamps aren’t similar to those on the facelifted model launched in China,
but they look bigger than before. The test mule has steel wheels with wheel
covers from the pre-facelift model. Hyundai may offer newly-designed 16- and
17-inch alloy wheels with the facelifted model. At the rear, changes are likely
to include new tail lamp graphics, restyled bumper with faux skid plate and
smaller reflectors.
Inside, the 2018 Hyundai Creta may have fresh
upholstery and trim among other changes. Not much is expected to change,
however. The SUV’s engine options are also likely to remain the same: 1.4-litre
U2 CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol, and 1.6-litre U2 VGT CRDi diesel.
The 1.6 L petrol and 1.6 L diesel engines are available with 6-speed manual and
6-speed automatic transmission choices.
Hyundai will launch the 2018 Hyundai Creta in India
towards the second half of 2018. This will be the Creta’s first cosmetic update
since its launch in July 2015.
