If the idea of an entirely electric vehicle still
seems like science fiction to you, wait 'till you get a look at this. It's the
new Renault Zoe Star Wars edition, and it takes the little French EV to a
galaxy far, far away.
Stemming out of the same partnership that yielded
all those Nissan show cars in LA, this special-edition Zoe is being released in
the spring to coincide with the debut of the forthcoming Han Solo movie.
It features special decals patterned after the
Millennium Falcon on the hood, roof, and tailgate. There's special badges as
well, and the inside features special purple trim on the dashboard, air vents,
speakers, gearshift, and floor mats.
The special edition is based on the Intens trim and
comes standard with Bose audio, in-car wi-fi, reversing camera, and 17-inch
wheels. Buyers will be able to choose between two shades of white as well as
grey or black.
Only 1,000 examples will be made available
exclusively in France. Pre-reservations start tonight before the order books
open in March and the new movie debuts in May.
