Custom Royal Enfield Classic 500 Bobber and Royal
Enfield Bullet 500 are on display at the ongoing 2017 Thai Motor Expo.
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Bobber sports chopped
front and rear fenders. The rear subframe has been eliminated and the
motorcycle features a custom single seat. Other modifications include
bullet-type indicators; aftermarket exhaust; side-mounted license plate with
tail light, and bar-end mirrors. The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 on the other
hand, is stock, apart from the aftermarket exhaust.
Powering the two motorcycles is a 499 cc single
cylinder engine with fuel injection. The mill makes 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250
rpm, and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty on
the two bikes. Suspension duties are handled by 35 mm telescopic front forks
and twin rear gas-charged shock absorbers.
Stopping powers comes courtesy a 280 mm front disc
with 2-piston callipers, and a 153 mm rear drum. While the Classic has 19-inch
front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, the Bullet has 19-inch units on both ends.
The Bullet 500 costs THB 179,800, and the stock Classic Chrome costs THB
198,800. The two motorcycles weigh 187 kg (kerb weight) and feature a
14.5-litre fuel tank.
