Ducati India has launched the Star White Silk colour
variant of the Ducati SuperSport S in the country. The bike costs INR 13,55,000
ex-showroom, India.
The Ducati SuperSport S is a more premium variant of
the SuperSport. It gets passenger seat cover as standard; 48 mm Ohlins
TiN-treated front forks and an Ohlins monoshock with integrated gas cartridge,
both fully adjustable. Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down also comes as standard
in this variant. Ducati launched the SuperSport range in September, last year.
The SuperSport shares its powerplant with the
Multistrada 950 and the Hypermotard 939. The 937cc L-twin Desmodromic motor
with liquid cooling churns out 113 PS of power at 9,000 rpm. The maximum torque
figure stands at 96.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine transmits power via a 6-speed
gearbox with slipper clutch.
Brakes include dual 320 mm discs with radially
mounted Brembo Monobloc callipers at the front. The rear features a 245 mm disc
with two-piston callipers. Dual channel ABS is standard. Fuel tank capacity
stands at 16 litres. The Ducati SuperSport S weighs 210 kg, wet. The Star White
Silk variant is INR 21,000 more expensive than the Ducati Red colour version.
Compared to the standard SuperSport, this bike is INR 1,51,000 more expensive.
