Puranam Designs, a motorcycle custom house from New
Delhi has made a Harley-Davidson Iron 883-inspired custom Royal Enfield
Thunderbird 350 called Abdias 6:33.
Puranam Designs has used a 2014 Royal Enfield
Thunderbird 350 for the job. The custom diamond-stitched seat, peanut tank,
chopped front and rear fenders are designed to look like the American cruiser.
While the fenders and the tank get a red paint job, the rest of the bodywork
and the powertrain is matte black.
The front suspension features rubber
gaiters, and a circular headlight similar to the one found in the Iron 883. The
drag-style handlebars feature bar-end mirrors, and bullet type indicators. They
have also replaced the twin-pod instrument cluster with an all-digital unit.
The engine appears to be stock, with black
slash-cut exhaust. There’s a fake pipe too, to imitate the real American deal.
The Thunderbird’s 346 cc engine is good for 19.8 bhp of power at 5,250 rpm.
Peak torque stands at 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox does duty in the
bike. The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged units at
the rear. Brakes are the same 280 mm front and 240 mm rear disc that is found
in the stock Thunderbird.
