The all-new Mercedes-Benz G-Class may have only just
premiered in Detroit but the carmaker has wasted no time in revealing the first
optional package for the off-roader, dubbed the AMG Line.
Those familiar with the plethora of Mercedes-Benz
models currently on the market will recognize the AMG Line as it is available
on a host of cars, including the C-Class and E-Class. This is the first time
the AMG Line has been offered for the G-Class.
Mercedes-Benz Passion reports that the AMG Line for
the G-Class modifies the exterior and interior look of the vehicle on a number
of fronts. The changes start with 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with a
multi-spoke design, wheel arch extensions, and drilled front brake discs. Additionally,
a sports exhaust system has been fitted and there are now numerous brushed
aluminum accents across the body.
Modifications made to the interior also add to the
appeal of the G-Class. Touches include a new three-spoke steering wheel with
red contrast stitching, design seat belts in red, and upholstery available in
black leather or design leather Nappa, also in black. Mercedes also fits AMG
floor mats.
Pricing details have yet to be announced but the AMG
Line is expected to hit the market in the not too distant future, acting as the
perfect solution for customers looking at purchasing a premium and sporty
G-Class.
