Rumble Motors has created a very unique electric
bike aptly named the Rumble e-bike, which is equipped with a 1500w hub-wound
motor that is capable of propelling its rider from zero to its top 70 km/h speed
in just five seconds. The on-board 60V rechargeable batteries are capable of
providing a range of up to 50 miles or 80 km and require 3 to 4 hours to charge
from flat to full.
The wheels on the Rumble electric bike measure
110/70R – 12 and the bike dimensions measure 1800 x 460 x 860 mm, with the bike
weighing in at 105 kg. The unique design Inspired by Cafe Racer bikes and technology
incorporated into the electric bike is now available to back via
Indiegogo with pledges starting from just under US$ 3,000.
Rumble motorbikes started back in 1977 when three
brothers Alex, Reza and Hendrik turned their motorcycles into Cafe Racer bikes.
A unique feature of the Rumble electric bike is the ability to turn on or off
motorbike sounds which stay in time with your acceleration, providing an
audible notification that you are riding along the street. Speakers on both
sides of the bike amplify the sound as you ride and a simple press of a button
on the side of the electric bike allows you to turn off the sounds if
preferred.
