Just a couple months after launching the facelifted
Ford EcoSport, Ford is readying a new ‘Ford EcoSport Signature’ for India.
Previously the company had introduced the special edition model in 2016.
Team-BHP forum member Auto freak recently spotted the 2018 Ford EcoSport
Signature edition undergoing road testing.
The Ford EcoSport Signature edition features new
17-inch painted machined wheels. Ford already offers these alloy wheels on the
India-made export-spec versions. Also worth noticing, is the sharper and
sportier rear spoiler that looks similar to that of the Ford EcoSport ST-Line
that was introduced in Europe late last year. The Titanium badge on the
tailgate suggests that Ford will offer the special edition model in the
Titanium and/or the Titanium+ grade(s).
In addition to the above features, the Ford EcoSport
Signature edition could have a two-tone interior for a sportier appeal and
maybe a SYNC 3 infotainment system with satellite navigation. The pre-facelift
model’s infotainment system did have satellite navigation, but the facelifted
model’s unit is devoid of that. This feature too is already available in
India-made export-spec versions.
The Ford EcoSport Signature edition’s launch could
take place later during the first half of the year. Before that, the Ford
Figo-based CUV will debut on 31 January, 2018.
