Audi‘s all-new, 2019 A6 saloon is all sharp lines
and dynamic edges. Like its A7 and A8 siblings, retained some of the styling
cues of the Prologue concept, so it, too, features a more aggressive stance, a
more muscular rear and of course a very tech-savvy cabin.
We already knew that the saloon version would land
first, with the more practical Avant shall be released at a later date.
Whenever that may be, it’s very likely that these drawings courtesy of Kleber
Silva could represent an accurate manifestation of the car’s appearance.
Camouflaged prototypes of the Avant were seen
sporting the same design lines as the four-door, whereas the rear end also
mirrored the latter’s styling with similar, if not identical, taillights, and a
visible chrome insert uniting the two light clusters – more or less like on the
new A8.
These renders do a good job of
bringing all those styling cues together, even though the overall length of the
taillights seems a bit off (they appear slightly shorter on the real-world 2019
A6 saloon).
Whereas the Avant might look a bit more docile, the
Allroad version has a more rugged appearance going for it, which is exactly
what Audi’s pseudo-crossover-estate is supposed to have anyway. In fact, we’d
expect it to feature more body cladding and increased ground clearance, but
Silva clearly thought otherwise.
