Born out of a collaboration between Automobili
Lamborghini’s Centro Stile and Cervélo Cycles, the P5X is a triathalon bicycle
worthy of the Raging Bull.
It’s
all done up in yellow and black, with Lamborghini’s now-signature Y-shape motif.
The bodywork is suitably angular, too, and results from over 180 hours of
testing in the wind tunnel. And it features top-shelf components – but the
motivation comes in this case from the rider, not one of Sant’Agata’s ten- or
twelve-cylinder engines.
Only 25 examples will be produced, which puts it on
about the same level as limited-run hypercars like the Centenario and Sento
Elemento on the scale of rare Lambos.
We’re afraid to ask how much each will sell for, but
considering that the standard P5X goes for about US$ 15k, we’re expecting a rather
large sticker price.
