Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new variant
of the KUV100 targetted specifically at fleet owners and the taxi market.
Called Mahindra KUV100 Trip, the model slots in as the entry-level trim in the
range.
Mahindra offers the KUV100 trip in only the 6 seat
configuration. The company has not detailed other features of the new variant.
Expect the car to come with basic necessities like manual air conditioning,
power steering, and at least front power operated windows. The Mahindra
KUV100 Trip is identical to the pre-facelift model. Diamond White and Dazzling
Silver are the two colour options on offer.
Mahindra is offering the KUV100 Trip in two engine
variants – Bi-Fuel and Diesel. The former has the 1.2 L mFalcon petrol engine
from the KUV100 NXT that can run on petrol or CNG. The diesel variant features
the 1.2 L mFalcon engine that powers the KUV100 NXT. Specifications have not
been specified, but they are likely to be similar to the
KUV100 NXT’s.
Mahindra has priced the KUV100 Trip at INR 5.16
lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Petrol+CNG variant and INR 5.42 lakhs
(ex-showroom Delhi) for the diesel. For reference, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT is
priced from INR 4.51 lakhs for the Petrol variant and INR 5.52 lakhs for the
diesel (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
