The Tata H5X
concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo will spawn two variants – 5-seat
and 7-seat. IAB’s automotive illustrator has created a digital rendering of
what the Tata H5X 7-seat Concept may look like.
The sketch mainly alters the side profile of the
concept to incorporate a slightly longer tail section and a more upright
tailgate. The sloping roofline is now gone to amplify space in the back for
third row passengers. The front fascia retains elements like the ‘tri-arrow
pattern’ inset on the bumper, which characterise the company’s Impact Design
2.0 philosophy.
The SUV will utilise a reworked version of the Land
Rover Discovery Sport’s platform. Powering the 7-seat variant, like its 5-seat
sibling, will be a 2.0 L Multijet II diesel. However, it will be in a different
state of tune, reportedly.
Both versions of the Tata H5X SUV are expected to
arrive before the end of 2019. The 5-seat variant is likely to arrive first
followed by the bigger, 7-seat version. The former has been spied testing on
multiple occasions and spy shots shared last month have partially revealed its
interior as well.
