Wald International, a Japanese tuning
company, has experience working with a multitude of
cars, ranging from exotics to everyday hatchbacks, and generally outfits them
with over-the-top bodykits and aftermarket wheels. Most recently, the brand
launched its Sports Line bodykit for the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Toyota
Harrier. Much to our surprise, one of them doesn’t look half bad.
Starting with the Prado, it is the more unfortunate
looking of the two. Wald has outfitted the massive SUV with a chrome grille and
a bespoke front bumper that looks out of place on a vehicle like this.
The Toyota has been outfitted with
side-exiting exhaust pipes, black and chrome wheels, flared wheel arches, a
small roof spoiler, and a rear bumper with four faux exhaust outlets. All in
all, pretty horrendous.
As for the Sports Line package for the Toyota
Harrier, it looks rather nice. Key modifications include a much more purposeful
front fascia with a prominent splitter, extended side skirts, and black wheels.
Viewed from the rear, a new bumper is visible, as is a Formula 1-inspired rain
light.
