The patent images of the 2018 Honda CB 125F have
been leaked. Gaadiwaadi reports that Honda will launch the bike as a part of
its FY2018-2019 plan.
Honda had confirmed that it will launch one brand
new two-wheeler, and 18 upgrades on existing models this fiscal. The Japanese
brand already sells the CB 125F in the UK market. However, the bike has gone
through the knife judging by the leaked image. The front headlight cowl and
tank shrouds witness subtle design changes, and the single-piece seat ends with
split-type grab handles.
The air-cooled engine comes with a kicker as well.
The frame looks like a Diamond-type unit, and rides on telescopic front fork
and twin shock absorbers at the back. The media site reports that the bike may
come with an LED headlight; and may borrow the CB Shine’s engine. The CB Shine
employs a 124.73 cc single cylinder mill with air cooling. It is good for 10.3
PS at 7,500 rpm, and 10.30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The transmission would reportedly
be a four-speed unit.
CB 125F in UK uses a 124.7 cc
SOHC engine with balancer shaft, air cooling and fuel injection. It generates
10.6 PS at 7,750 rpm, and 10.2 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The mill works in tandem with a
5-speed gearbox. The leaked patent indicates that the 2018 Honda CB 125F will
use a disc brake at the front and drum at the rear. It is likely to come with
CBS, as per the norms. The news site reports that the bike will be placed above
the CB Shine SP.
