The 2018 Range Rover (facelift) that was unveiled in
October last year has been spotted testing on Indian soil. The images shared by
Ritesh Madhok’s Motor World India depict a camouflaged test mule plying on a
public road pointing towards its imminent launch.
Despite the camouflage the revised headlamps and LED
signature that are part of the MY2018 updates are visible. The SUV features
four lighting options – Premium, Matrix, Pixel, and Pixel-Laser. The last
option features as many as 144 LEDs and four laser diodes. The new grille and
squared off rear LED signature is also visible. The test mule rides on 5-split
spoke alloy wheels.
Other updates are the new lower side accents and
vent graphics, and resculpted rear bumper with integrated exhaust tailpipes
across the range. The cabin gets updates in the form of wider seats with better
cushioning. The power recline controls have moved to the door now. Land Rover
has added the Touch Pro Duo dual-screen infotainment system to the 2018 Range
Rover. There’s an all-new 12-inch high-resolution digital instrument cluster,
next-gen head-up display system offering 10-inch full-colour projection,
10-inch touchscreens for the rear-seat entertainment system, and something
called ‘Active Key’ wristband, which allows the customer to lock and unlock the
vehicle without using the standard fob.
