Pune-based Autologue Design has customised the Bajaj
Dominar 400 with the Domivel body kit and touring-friendly additions, calling
it the Domivel X. This custom Bajaj Dominar 400 features tank grips on
the side, and slightly extended tank cowls.
There is a sturdy crash bar with
frame sliders as well. The front end comes with a windscreen to control wind
blasts at high speeds; twin auxiliary LED lamps; hand guards, and
fender-mounted number plate holder. They have replaced the stock stubby exhaust
with a sleeker IXIL unit. The exhaust is likely to have a slight power and
weight advantage, apart from a sportier exhaust note.
In its stock form, the 373.3 cc single cylinder mill
makes 35 PS at 8,000 rpm, and 35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine works in
conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The bike rides on
telescopic front fork, and a rear gas-charged monoshock.
Brakes include 320 mm
front and 230 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Autologue Design’s
accessories make the bike not only look better, but are also functional for
effortless touring. The stock motorcycle costs INR 1,58,275, ex-showroom,
Delhi.
