The Ford EcoSport Titanium S variant has been
spotted at a dealership as per images shared on Team-BHP. The Titanium S
variant has been spotted on Indian roads on multiple occasions in the past, but
Ford is yet to reveal a launch date.
The images highlight the exterior and interior
changes carried by the Titanium S variant. The dashboard gets an all-black
treatment along with orange highlights around the centre console and on the
door trim. The upholstery matches the black and orange theme. The instrument
console, unlike the variants currently on sale, features chrome rings around
the speedometer and tachometer. As revealed by one of the images, the Titanium
S variant will get a sunroof.
On the outside, it the Ford EcoSport Titanium S gets
a darkened front grille, gunmetal finish 5-spoke alloy wheels, black headlamp
inserts and black front fog lamp bezels, roof rails and rear spoiler. A blacked
out roof can also be seen in the pictures.
The gear knob appears to have marking depicting 6
gears. Currently, Ford does not offer the EcoSport petrol or diesel with a
6-speed manual transmission. Both variants come with a 5-speed gearbox.
However, a 6-speed MT is not new to the EcoSport taking into account global
markets. In the UK, the 100 PS 1.5 L TDCi pairs with a 6-speed manual
transmission. The 1.0 L EcoBoost petrol engine, that powered the pre-facelift
model in India, also gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Ford India recently rejigged the EcoSport’s features
list. More updates to the compact SUV will follow with the introduction of the
range-topping Ford EcoSport Titanium S grade. Assuming that the Titanium S is
based on the Titanium+ trim, it could be priced between INR 11 lakhs and INR 12
lakhs (ex-showroom).
