Ken Block has been known to hoon vehicles old and
new, from classic Mustangs to fresh Fiestas. This one, though, falls somewhere
in between.
The master showboater’s latest ride is a 1993 Escort
RS Cosworth. Ford
Performance and the Hoonigan Racing Division have revealed it in its final
livery.
It’s been specially created by Death Spray Custom,
which previously worked on some of Block’s other cars and also designed his new
racing suit. And along with it, Ford and Hoonigan have also announced what
Block intends to do with his newest toy.
Fans can look forward to seeing the Cossie in action
at four rallycross events across America. Block will be behind the wheel for
three American Rallycross rounds (in Austin, Canada, and one in between) as
well as the World Rallycross Championship event at that same circuit in Texas.
He’ll also field a 2017-spec M-Sport Fiesta RS at
the WRC rally of Spain in October and he’ll be on hand for a handful of
Gymkhana GRID events in the US and abroad, too. Plus we can look forward to
Gymkhana Ten to drop later this year and a new eight-part documentary series
called The Gymkhana Files to air on Amazon Prime.
