SsangYong’s limited edition Tivoli Ultimate is
powered by a 1.6-liter Euro 6 petrol engine, and will set you back £ 17,495
(US$ 25,000) if you go for the manual, or £ 18,747 (US$ 26,845) if you opt for the
6-speed Aisin automatic.
The Ultimate comes with an electrically operated and
ventilated driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, LED fog lamps, repositioned
handbrake and minor changes to the switchgear. It’s also based on the
range-topping ELX version, which is one of the safest cars in its class
according to the automaker.
Available active safety systems include Forward
Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane
Keeping Assist, High Beam Assistance and Traffic Sign Recognition. You also get
seven airbags – front, side, curtain and one for the driver’s knee.
As for other standard features, there’s the leather
upholstery, keyless starting, parking sensors, reversing camera, cruise
control, electric windows, smart steering, 7-inch touchscreen with RDS radio,
iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, TomTom navigation, diamond cut alloys and
dual-zone air conditioning.
Buyers willing spend an extra £ 400 (US$ 573) can get
the optional Style pack, which adds either a white or black contrasting roof. If
you’d just like the entry-level Tivoli, know that it will set you back
just £ 13,495 (US$ 19,324), not much more than a top-spec Dacia Duster.
