The launch of the Ford Freestyle crossover in India
is slated this month. Ahead of the price announcement, its brochure has been
released detailing the Ford Freestyle specifications, variant wise features,
colour options and more.
The Ford Freestyle will come in four grades –
Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, and Titanium+. All trims feature ABS with EBD, dual
front airbags, reverse parking sensors, and rear fog lamp as standard fitment.
The base Ambiente trim gets only front power windows. Notable additions to the
features list of Trend over Ambiente include rearview camera, front fog lamps,
all four power windows, touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB
support, four speakers, steering mounted audio controls, black B & C pillars,
ORVM mounted turn indicators, Sienna seat upholstery, tachometer with gear
shift indicator and load compartment light.
In addition to the features offered by Trend, Ford
Freestyle Titanium gets 15-inch alloy wheels, driver seat height adjustment,
rear washer and wiper, push-button start, height adjustable seat belt,
electrically adjustable and folding ORVM, automatic climate control, silver
finish roof rails and front and rear skid plates, and 5.8 inch MID.
The range-topping Titanium+ grade adds side and curtain
airbags, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, Ford MyKey, SYNC3
infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and glove box
light.
The Ford Freestyle measures 3,954 mm long, 1,737 mm
wide, 1,570 mm tall, and rides on a 2,490 mm wheelbase. It debuts a new 1.2 L
3-cylinder petrol engine producing 96 PS and 120 Nm. As per claimed figures, it
returns 19.0 km/l overall. The diesel variant is powered by Figo’s 1.5 L TDCi
unit developing 100 PS and 215 Nm. Claimed fuel efficiency stands at 24.4 km/l.
Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Figo based crossover made its global debut in
India in January 2018. Ford will announce prices of the Freestyle later this
month. According to our estimates, the Ford Freestyle petrol could have a
starting price of under INR 6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
