Nissan recently commenced road tests of the Terra in
Thailand. The new three-row SUV was spied in the country,

The Nissan Terra will arrive as the first vehicle
from Nissan’s frame and LCV division under the Nissan M.O.V.E midterm plan when
it bows in China on 12 April. Following China, Thailand will receive the
all-new frame SUV, in the second half of the year.
The Nissan Terra is essentially an SUV version of
the third generation Nissan Navara. The familiar exterior and interior design
reflect how closely it is related to this pickup. The rugged SUV is the
successor to the Nissan Paladin, also known as the Nissan Xterra. It measures
4,882 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height. It has a 2,850 mm
wheelbase.
The Chinese-spec Nissan Terra is powered by the QR25 184 PS 2.5L petrol engine. Local Thai reports say that Nissan may
offer two engine options: YS23DDT 2.3L turbodiesel and YS23DDTT 2.3L twin-turbo
diesel. In the Nissan Navara, the former produces 163 PS and 403 Nm of
torque, while the latter develops 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
The Nissan Terra could run off from production lines
in Samutprakarn where the pickup is made. Nissan will sell the Thai-made Nissan
Terra in Indonesia as well. The new three-row SUV could go on sale in India as
a direct competitor to the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X.
