Fashion and the French tend to be closely
associated, therefore it is perhaps appropriate that the Renault Captur gets an
exterior dress-up courtesy of a local fashion designer Malaysian design house
EMEL for a unique lace print graphic. Here, the Renault Captur EMEL Edition is
adorned with Chantilly lace vinyl graphics on its exterior, namely on its
bonnet, front quarter panels and doors. This won’t be for sale, though.
This is part of the Colourfulraya Contest 2018,
which runs from March 29 until May 15, 2018. A host of prizes include products
from Panasonic Beauty and apparel from EMEL, along with the Renault Captur
grand prize. Winners will be selected via a weekly draw, with a total of six
draws and 66 prizes up for grabs each week. The final draw will take place on
May 16 and the prize-giving ceremony is on May 25.
The Renault Captur is a B-segment
crossover which is powered by a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine producing
120 hp and 190 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels through a six-speed EDC
dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 0-100 km/h run is done in 10.9 seconds,
while top speed is 192 km/h.
Standard equipment in the Captur includes automatic
headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, MediaNav with seven-inch touchscreen,
auxiliary audio, Bluetooth, satellite navigation and reverse camera, with
keyless entry. Safety features comprise four airbags, electronic stability
control, traction control and hill start assist. Standard pricing for the
Renault Captur is RM 109,000 on-the-road without insurance, including five-year,
unlimited mileage factory warranty.
